- The government recommends a daily unit consumption of 2-3 for a woman and 3-4 units for a man.
- A unit is equivalent to 8 grams of alcohol. In beer or cider that is about half a pint. With regard to spirits, a unit is around 25ml. Therefore, a whole pint of beer is equivalent to 3 units.
