Are you suffering from the "Tired All The Time" syndrome? A body overloaded with toxins can result in a number of symptoms. Eastern medicine has held the view for centuries that toxins go downwards in the body during the day. They are then deposited away from the vital organs, in places such as the feet. Toxins accumulate in our bodies from a number of sources. These include chemical pesticides and fertilizers in the food you may eat, polluted air you may breathe, impure water you may drink and stress reactions from our busy, modern lifestyles. Eastern medicine also understands that toxin accumulation leads to many degenerative diseases. For example, painful rheumatism and arthritis are caused by acidic toxin fluid gathered in the joints.
There is an Asian expression that says ageing comes from the feet. In Western foot reflexology, the feet (also called the 'Second Heart') are seen as holding reflexes of all our major organs, with over 60 acupuncture points on our soles relating to the major organs in the body.
For overall health, the patches are placed on the soles of the feet at night before retiring. However, they can also be used in areas where there is discomfort, for example: shoulder, back, knee, ankle, elbow and the like. For maximum utilization and benefit, the patches are kept on for at least seven hours. Socks may be worn over the patches to keep them from being rubbed off if you move around while you are sleeping.
Once the patch has been used it will be slightly moist and the powder in the bag will turn brown after use and have a sticky texture. On certain parts of the body you may find that even after several hours of use the colour of the powder in the bag remains unchanged. This is entirely normal as toxins are predominately released through the feet.
It is recommended that patches are used in pairs on the soles of both feet every night consecutively for five nights. This will provide a good detox course. We are all at different stages of health and thus some people may continue to use further patches daily until a satisfactory response is reached, other may use the patches every 2nd or 3rd evening to keep the detox rhythm going, and some may finish one box and then simply repeat another box as maintenance in a month or two. All are correct ways of using the patches. The patches do slowly become lighter in colour as toxins become less in the body. The patches will be beneficial from the very first night of use.
