What is Amaurosis Fugax?

A sudden, painless, temporary loss of vision due to a disruption to the blood supply to the optic nerve or brain. It may be associated with narrowing of the carotid artery in the neck, or a tiny blood clot in the arteries supplying the retina at the back of the eye.
