Bridal Bootcamp: Lose Weight For Your Wedding Day
Congratulations. The date is set, the invitations have been distributed and you’ve got the perfect man, the perfect
venue, and of course the perfect dress, but the condition of your body is anything but perfect. Fear not as help is at hand.
Getting married is an exciting experience and your wedding day should be one of the most important, most
memorable days of your life. It’s the one day in your life that belongs solely to you! Yes, we know that the groom
to be is just as important, but it’s the bride who is the belle of the ball on her wedding day. All eyes will be on
you as you walk down the isle and you want to look perfect, not to mention looking good for your man and surprising
him with a killer-body on your honeymoon.

Getting in shape for your wedding day is hard work, but it's well worth it |

Control your calories
Before you take on the exercise part of getting your body bride-ready, you need to have a sensible eating plan. Eighty percent of your results will come from dieting, so don’t neglect it. Depending, of course, on your goals and your time constraints, start decreasing your average caloric intake, but don’t go too low as you may be causing more harm than good.
For a good idea on how many calories you should be consuming, work out your own individual daily caloric requirements
using this formula: First change your weight from kilograms into pounds by multiplying it by 2.2. Take the total and
multiply it by 14.25. This will give you your average daily caloric needs for your weight. If you eat more than that,
reduce your calories to that figure.
Now, if your goal is to be five kilograms lighter on your wedding day, use the same formula and instead of your
current weight insert your goal weight. Remember to be realistic here and don’t expect to get results overnight.
Aim to lose about 1 – 1.5 kilograms a week, anything more than that will most likely result in gaining the weight
back. Not a very nice wedding present.
Functional fitness
Remember looking good takes commitment and hard work. Don’t expect it to happen over night. Get your booty into
the gym and hire yourself a personal trainer. Think of it as your own pre-wedding wedding present. A personal
trainer will help you tone up and tighten your trouble areas and also be able to assist you with the most effective
approach to reaching your goals.
If you cannot afford a trainer and know absolutely nothing about exercise, remember that a little physical activity is
better than none at all and while you may not reach your potential, commitment and hard work will help you look better than
you did. Sign up for an aerobics class. This is great, because even if you have no clue how to exercise you will have a
fun, functional workout.
Good luck and enjoy your big day!
