Calcium Creates Bone Strength
Almost all the body's calcium is found in the bones, where it acts to harden a soft framework of protein, building new bone and assisting in creating bone strength. The blood also requires a small but constant level of calcium and when the calcium level in the blood drops, the body makes up for it by withdrawing calcium from the bones. This happens on a daily basis and that's why it's vital we consume enough calcium to maintain a consistent supply. Without an adequate daily calcium intake, we risk developing problems later in life.
