What is Carbaryl?

An insecticide that is used to treat head lice and crab lice.

Carbaryl is applied topically, either as a water-based liquid or an alcohol-based lotion. However, the drug must not come into contact with eyes or with areas of broken skin.

The lotion is considered unsuitable for small children and people with asthma because they may be affected by the alcoholic fumes.
