One of the Top 5 Surgical Procedures Performed
A facelift can not only rid sags and greatly decrease lines and wrinkles on the facial area (making the person look many years younger) — it has the capacity to boost a person’s self-esteem and make them feel younger, as well.
When age and gravity causes the skin to sag, develop deep creases over the nose and between the nose and mouth, and the jaw-line to slacken and droop, it changes the way a person looks. The person may look tired, rundown, or even as though they are scowling. And they may feel like scowling every time they look in the mirror.
One 2005 survey taken by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery revealed that 22% of men have facelifts to increase their chance for success in the competitive business world. 23% of women said their reason for having a facelift was to look less tired, and to feel better about their appearance.
A facelift removes excess fatty tissue, tightens underlying muscles, and re-drapes the skin on the face and neck. The result is a more youthful appearance, and more defined facial contours. But a facelift might not be a good solution for everyone.Click here to continue to Page 2…
