If you have a short neck and want to make it appear longer, avoid any type of round neck t-shirt or top. These kinds of tops are too high for your neck and make it appear short and stubby. Contrary to what you may have thought, polo necks are also out. These kinds of tops really place focus on the neck area, so avoid them at all costs.

Instead of revealing only your neck, try to get some shoulder and chest exposure. Go for nice cut v-neck that makes you feel comfortable. Scoop necks are also a great option to make your neck appear longer as more of your chest is exposed.

In terms of accessories, stay away from any kind of dangling earring, as this will only draw the attention to your short neck. Try looking for a nice, sparkly set of studs or earrings with a small drop pendant. Avoid wearing intricate earrings, especially if you're combining them with necklaces. This combo will make your neck area look overpowering and cluttered.

Not all necklaces are an ideal option for a short neck. Steer clear from any chocker type necklace or anything with a short chain. Look out for fairly fine chain that drops down towards the chest, with a small, dainty pendant. This will give your neck the length you’re looking for.

Chunky, beaded and thick pearl necklaces should be avoided.
