Do you have a pounding headache? Drinking water could be a simple cure for migraines, researchers claim.
Scientists at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands found drinking six to eight glasses a day reduced the intensity and durations of severe headaches.
Nine volunteers who tested out the theory during a two-week trial suffered 21 hours less pain than nine others who were taking a dummy migraine pill. All the more reason to start upping your liquid intake.
