Create a Simple Fairy Garden

No matter where you live, if you and your children believe in the magic of fairies, you’ll want to help them build their very own fairy garden. Kids love this project and it delights them each time they see it.

Fairy gardens bring color, enchantment and a touch of magic into your home or garden. You can create a fairy garden for any room in your home, for the garden, or to bring a touch of magic to a deck or porch. Wherever you have personal space, be sure to add a fairy garden.

What you will need:

• A decorative pot.
• One or more fairy ornaments in scale to the pot.
• Potting soil.
• Plants and flowers.
• Decorative stones, silk butterflies, crystals and small shells.
• Rocks and pebbles.
• Bagged moss.

Method:

• Place stones or pebbles in the bottom of the pot for good drainage.
• Pour potting soil into the pot and plant the flowers or foliage plants of your choice.
• Place the bagged moss over the soil in the pot.
• Add one or more fairies to the pot. Depending on the pot’s size, you can add miniature benches and chairs for the fairies.
• Add decorative stones, crystals, butterflies and shells in a creative display.
• Set your fairy garden in a space where you and the kids can enjoy it.
