What Is Fuller’s Earth?

This is a fine, naturally occurring mineral clay which ranges in color from white to gray-green. It may be used as an oil-absorbing, cleaning, and thickening agent in soaps, face packs and masks (mainly for oily skins). The absorbent property makes it a useful dry shampoo for oily hair or as a foot powder for sweaty feet!

The clay was used in the textile industry to cleanse and thicken cloth or to “full” woolen fabric — hence the name.
