What is High Cholesterol?
High blood cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) means there are high levels of cholesterol in your blood, which could put you at risk of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). It’s usually discovered during routine screening and has no symptoms.
High cholesterol is more common if you have a family history of it, but lifestyle factors (such as high stress levels and eating a diet high in saturated fat) clearly play a major role.
