What is Hirsutism?
It's pretty normal for woman to have hair on their arms, legs and underarms but it can sometimes grow on other areas as where it isn't as expected! The medical term for this is hirsutism, and can include growth on the chest, back, stomach and face, or existing hair that's become thicker and more prevalent.
Many women find this distressing, but regard it as a cosmetic problem, so don't see their GP. However, it can indicate an underlying health condition, and is often very easy to solve.
