What Is the Largest Joint in
the Human Body?

The largest single joint in the body is the knee. Two knuckle-shaped ends on the thigh bone fit into shallow dishes in the top of the skin bone. As the knee straightens, the bones twist slightly to ‘lock’ the joint and make the leg rigid from hip to ankle.
