What is Legionnaires' Disease?

A form of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria which can grow in warm, moist places such as air-conditioning towers and spread in air-borne water droplets. The disease features headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, cough, high fever, mental confusion, and kidney and liver damage. Lung damage may be fatally severe.
