What is Leukemia?

Cancer of the blood-producing tissue, especially the bone marrow and lymph nodes, resulting in an over-abundance of white blood cells. It can be either acute (most common in children) or chronic (most common in adults). It is similar in certain respects to Hodgkin’s disease.
