What is Micrognathia?

An abnormally small jaw (usually the lower jaw).

Micrognathia is congenital (present at birth), and may stop a baby from feeding properly. It is a feature of various chromosomal abnormalities.

In many cases, the problem disappears as the child’s skull grows.
