Best Hair Care for Oily Hair
Overactive subcutaneous glands are responsible for the excessive oil on this type of hair. Shampooing every day can aggravate the problem, as the glands become more active in response to the constant simulation. Dry shampoos are a compromise as they remove oil between shampoos.
Don't use very hot water for shampooing or rinsing, as the heat will encourage the production of more oil. A vinegar rinse will strip the excessive oil and leave the hair shining and manageable.
Don't brush too hard or for too long. Twenty to thirty strokes will be sufficient to distribute the oil evenly down the hair shaft.
