What is a Polyp?
A growth from a mucous membrane and attached to it by a stalk. Most are benign but may cause obstruction or infections. They commonly occur in the sinuses, nose or possibly the bladder or bowels. Their removal is usually straightforward, unless a more extensive operation proves necessary to reach the affected organ.
