Remedies for Dry and Callused Hands
While it is normal for your hands to turn rough and callused as you get older, this condition can become a little embarrassing. Your skin has to be taken care of if you want to maintain soft and dewy hands. But don't worry; there are remedies that can soften up callused skin. Just make sure that you stick to the following skin care regimen: 1. Apply a hydrating moisturizer to your hands twice a day. Use the same moisturizer that you use to keep your face young and healthy. Most anti aging facial moisturizers have been incorporated with ingredients that can repair and regenerate. Look for the products that contain CynergyTK, Phytessence Wakame and Nano Lipobelle HEQ10. CynergyTK is an ingredient that has been extracted from the wool of sheep. This ingredient is a great source of a type of functional protein called Keratin. The integumentary system needs a good supply of keratin in order to regenerate more collagen and elastin. This will help rebuild the structure of your skin and maintain smooth and elastic dermis structure. Phytessence Wakame is a type of Japanese sea kelp. Japanese women use this sea kelp raw as a facial mask to keep their face soft and dewy. That is because it is capable of preventing the drastic loss of hyaluronic acid. This acid is vital for the lubrication of collagen. Nano Lipobelle HEQ10 is what you need to drive harmful free radicals away. Free radicals contribute to the deterioration of the skin. 2. Mix lemon juice, papaya juice and honey. Use this mixture on your hands. Apply it all over your skin. Let it stay there for about an hour before washing it off. This treatment is best used at night. Lemon juice has skin-softening properties. It can effectively soften up dry and thick calluses. It also infuses vitamin C to the skin. This vitamin helps improve the production of collagen and elastin. Papaya is also a good ingredient because of its beta carotene content. This is a derivative of Vitamin A so it has skin-regenerating and healing benefits. Honey can lock moisture in your dermis. It has humectant properties that can easily settle in the dermis tissues. 3. Mix pearl powder and rose water. Use this as a topical solution. Apply it to the cracks and fissures on your hands. Pearl powder also has the ability to repair damaged skin. That is because it contains a form of keratin that can improve collagen production. Rose water can bring back the elastic functions of the integumentary system. You would be surprised of how off-putting dry and callused hands can be. So start pampering your hands to make them look and feel younger. About the Author: |
