What is RNA?

RNA (ribonucleic acid) is a complex protein found in plant and animal cells. RNA carries coded genetic information from DNA, in the cell nucleus, to protein-producing cell structures called ribosomes, where these instructions are translated into the form of protein molecules — the basic component of all living tissue.
