It may sound strange, but many symptoms of the common cold or flu are also symptoms of an equally alarming infection of the sinuses. Sinus infections are also called sinusitis. Sinusitis is an inflammation or infection of the sinus cavities. It is estimated that in the United States alone, more than 30 million people are affected by sinus infections each year. The worldwide figure is surely much larger than this. So what are some of the common sinus infection symptoms anyway? The following list is not all-inclusive, but it is pretty close:
