Three Different Ways to Style Your Hair
with a Hair Iron

Hair irons have become popular over the last couple of years, but these girly gadgets can be used to give you more looks than just silky, sleek hair.

Ghd is probably one of the most famous hair stylers/irons currently on the market. They are popular among both hairstylists and individuals who want to style their hair at home. The great thing about these irons is that they can be used to straighten and even curl your hair.

Sleek and sexy

This style is the easiest to achieve as it is straightforward straightening, and does not require any special techniques. One trick when straightening your hair is to do it in small sections, of about one inch. Start at the bottom and clip the rest of the hair up. As you get through one section, release the next until you have straightened all your hair.

Soft and flowing curls

Soft, loose curls that give your hair bounce and movement are great and very sexy. This look works on both straight and even very curly hair. If your hair is straight you can move onto the look. If your hair is curly, you may want to straighten it first to give you a good base with which to get the look.

Clip your hair up and work on it section by section. Working with one section, of about one inch, insert the styling iron vertically, close to the root of the hair. Slowly and smoothly slide the styler down your hair to about midpoint. When you reach the section from where you want your curls to start, begin to rotate the styler, about 180 degrees, going inwards. Continue with this all the way down to the end. Separate the plates without pulling on the hair and use your index finger to wrap the hair and define your curl.

Lock it in place with a spritz of hair spray.

Glamorous, va va voom curls

For curls that have even more volume and make the prefect hairstyle for your glamorous night out, try this look with your hairstyling iron. Again, if you have curly hair, you may want to straighten it to give you a sleek base to work with.

Clip your hair up and work on it in sections. Take a section that is about one inch thick and insert the hair styler vertically, and close to the root of the hair. Slowly slide it outwards and begin twisting it closer to the top of your head, while working the hair iron down the hair. Separate the plates, and again use your finger to define the curl.

Once you have done all your hair, lightly shake it and run your fingers through it once to volumize the hair. Spray with hairspray and you're ready to make your glamorous appearance.
