What is Taurine?
Taurine is an amino acid (a building block of protein) found naturally in nerve tissue and muscle. Taurine is also found in meat, poultry, eggs, dairy products and fish.
Under certain conditions the body may not be able to create enough taurine. Physical and mental stress can deplete the body's level of taurine. Taurine is also thought to help ward off dehydration during exercise.
