What is Uremia?
Uremia is a condition in which there is excess urea in the blood because of kidney disease or failure. Waste products are usually excreted by the kidneys, but accumulation in the blood leads to headaches, drowsiness and lethargy, nausea and vomiting and diarrhea. Eventually, without treatment, death follows. Hemodialysis may be necessary or even renal transplantations.
