The number of people with depression who are deficient in B vitamins, such as B6, according to research from the University of Arizona in the US.
Women on birth control pills are especially prone to B6 deficiencies since the Pill partially blocks B6 activity in the body.
The study also found that boosting B6 intake is often all it takes to significantly improve your mood, so make sure you’re getting enough — the recommended daily dose is 2mg.
