Weight Loss Success
Studies have found that the most successful slimmers — those who lose weight and manage to keep it off — join a slimming group, because sharing ideas and gaining inspiration from others is a powerful motivator.
The National Weight Control Registry in the US monitors people who successfully maintain weight loss, and has found they have the following four behaviors in common:
- Eating a low-calorie, low-fat diet;
- Having breakfast every day;
- Doing high levels of physical activity;
- Weighing themselves frequently in order to stay vigilant about any small weight gain.
