Wine Is Good For You…
Wine has been enjoyed for centuries, and it is widely viewed as an enhancement to the quality of live. Individuals who choose to drink it in moderation appear to have improved cardiovascular health and, on average, live longer.
The protection provided by moderate wine consumption is linked to healthy lifestyle choices including diet, exercise and smoking cessation. The amount of alcohol that provides optimal health benefit is very low; 1 – 2 glasses of wine per day give maximal protection.
Our society should be constantly aware of the harm as well as the benefits of alcohol, in particular recognizing those at risk of alcohol abuse.
